Overview
When considering a first-time fundraiser that needed to make a hard-hitting (literally) impact on the region, build a base for future years through innovation and collaboration, Urban League of Philadelphia in partnership with Joe Hand Boxing Gym and more than 5 other non-profit organizations came together to birth Night at the Fights! This unique boxing event featured many Olympic hopefuls, was bookended by networking and social gatherings, as well as live musical performances and celebrity appearances to keep the audience entertained throughout the night. The idea brought together groups that wouldn’t normally be partners, and provided a fun night that raised significant dollars for programs working with thousands of young people in Philadelphia.
Perfection Events was engaged to provide project management and event production services just 12 weeks from the event—our client trusted us to understand the complexities of the various stakeholders as well as the gravity of the time, effort and resources that were being invested in the interest of such a great cause.
