Last month, Hyatt Hotels launched free WiFi for all guests in hotel rooms and public spaces. According to Successful Meetings, Hyatt is "is the only major hotelier to offer free Wi-Fi to all guests, regardless of booking method or loyalty program participation. Its offering stands in contrast to competitors Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, both of which recently launched free Wi-Fi that's restricted to members of their respective loyalty programs."
So, we have 2 questions:
1. As a traveler, will free WiFi make you more likely to book Hyatt over other hotel brands?
2. As a planner, will you still invest in WiFi for your guests in meeting space (which is excluded from Hyatt's service)?
