Wow, today really is July 3rd! If you are like many of us, you are busy cramming in all of the work you have to do today so you can enjoy the July 4th holiday and at about, oh, 11:00 tonight, you'll realize that you forgot to plan your contribution to the July 4th parties/picnics/BBQs/gatherings that you are planning to attend! No worries - here are 3 ultra-easy and festive ideas to make you look like you've been planning this for weeks!
Multi-Tasking Cupcakes
Cupcakes are a hot dessert item on menus right now, so make the most of this trend with July 4th themed cupcakes. The best part? They double as a centerpiece too! Don't have time to whip up a batch of cupcakes? Head to the closest bakery and buy ones with plain white icing on them, stop by the grocery store to pick up the berries and coconut, and then just assemble and head out to the party looking like a kitchen rockstar!

Fruit and Flowers
Another uber-easy one! Pick up a few watermelons and red flowers on your way home today, and you'll have everything you need. If you don't have a red pail, can't get to the store to find one, or they are sold out, just improvise and use any sort of container or basket. In a pinch, you can use a large plate or platter - just cut the bottom of the watermelon so it will sit flat on the platter and then grab some extra flowers to dress up the base and the plate.

Patriotic Flowers
Yes, we'll admit it ... we have a thing for flowers! But this one is just so easy and so perfect, we couldn't resist. A blue tinted vase, red and white flowers, and voila: a perfect July 4th centerpiece! Don't have a blue vase? No worries - tie some blue ribbon on a clear vase to dress it up and bring in the blue. Or, head over to your local craft store today and pick up some blue glass beads to put in the vase.
