We’ve been watching the story about the New York Hilton deciding to ditch room service for the past week or so to see what industry reaction would be, and if any other hotels would follow suit.
Our thoughts on this? We agree with a quote in this article: “I commend Hilton for having the courage to do that.” If something isn’t working in your business or is no longer profitable or beneficial, it takes strong leadership to make the decision to change.
Kudos to Hilton for recognizing what’s not working and adapting to shifting customer behavior.
